Do I need a referral from my GP to visit a Podiatrist at Riverina Podiatry Group?

No, however we do accept eligible Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) or Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) referrals and will be bulk billed appropriately.

When should I take my children to see a podiatrist?

Some children suffer foot ailments and development problems and if they are identified early, many conditions can be successfully treated. These young development years for children's feet will directly effect their strength and mobility in later years. Below are common reasons why your child would benefit from seeing a podiatrist:

    • If your child is complaining of foot or leg pain
    • A family history of foot and leg pain
    • If you notice any abnormal walking or running patterns
    • Abnormal skin or nails
    • Footwear advice
    • Uneven shoe wear

Where can I park my car at the Gardens Medical Centre?

Car parking is available at the Gardens Medical Centre in the below places:

    • GMC level 1 open carpark (2 hour limit)
    • GMC basement under cover carpark (2 hour limit)
    • Street parking is available on Wodonga Place and Smollett Street (2 hour limit)

Is there Wheelchair access at all Riverina Podiatry Clinics?

Yes, you will find wheelchair access at all of our 5 clinics.

Disabled car parking is also available on both levels of the Gardens Medical Centre with ramp/lift access to get you safely into the building.

What should I bring to my appointment at the Riverina Podiatry Group?

New patients are encouraged to bring the below items to their appointment:

    • Current footwear
    • Any current orthotics
    • Appropriate images/scans pertinent to your feet
    • Any further correspondence you've received from other clinicians that you feel may help your podiatrist
    • Any EPC/DVA referrals to be claimed at the time of your appointment
    • Private health insurance membership card

What clothing should I wear to my appointment at Riverina Podiatry Group?

Our podiatrists need to be able to ideally see and have accessibility to move and assess your feet, knees and hips. Please bring along sports shorts or tights if you're unsure.

Can my Private Health Fund cover podiatry?

Yes, Private health funds can cover podiatry but it will depend on your level of cover as to whether you are eligible to claim for these services. You will need to contact your health fund to find out about your personal entitlements to podiatry fees. Our HICAPS facility allows us to directly claim from your private health fund at the time of your treatment.

Can I have a Home Visit?

Yes, we offer a home visiting service to those that are unable to attend the clinic. We do prefer people to attend if possible but understand this is not always possible.
